Analysis
Scottie Barnes – The ‘Top 8’ for the 6’8″ Barnes is California, Duke, Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami, Ohio State and Oregon. The kid can ball on both ends of the floor and is only getting better as a clear cut leader.
Cade Cunningham – Expect the offers to come in flurries this summer for the 6’7″ guard/forward. Kansas, Texas A&M, LSU and Oklahoma State represent his four offers currently. Cunningham can absolutely play on or off the ball.
Corey Walker – Committed to Tennessee, the 6’7″ forward is a freakish athlete who has wheels and length to score in bunches. He’s a really impressive shot blocker.
Jaden Springer – Perhaps one of the best pull-up shooters in the entire state, Springer is a confident young man at his 6’4″ frame. He recently listed Texas, Tennessee, Auburn, Maryland, NC State and Wake Forest as some of the schools that intrigue him the most.
Moses Moody – UF, Auburn, Missouri, FSU, Texas and Stanford are just some of the top offers for the 6’6″ combo guard. Moody is a big kid with a ton of upside.
Noah Farrakhan – Always smiling and competing, Farrakhan is one of the most entertaining kids I’ve ever watched. At 6’1″, Maryland, UF, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and Minnesota are some of his best offers. This is a confident young man.
Kario Oquendo – Oquendo is a bruiser and a blaster with his emphatic dunks. At 6’4″, FGCU, UNF, Wake Forest and FAU represent his offers as of now. Expect more to come as he’s simply too strong and filled with too much potential.
Malachi Wideman – A high major football prospect, Wideman is a fan favorite at 6’5″ with his high flying dunks and shot blocking. Wideman is raw, but a Division I school will love to mold him in their program.
Jamille Reynolds – FGCU, FAU, James Madison, Oklahoma State, USF, UCF, Louisana Tech and UNF have all offered the 6’9″ center. Reynolds is getting better near the rim, but his consistency is what will be looked at.
Isaiah Adams – Edging out First Coast guard and FSU commit Naseem Khaalid (No. 11), Adams is a prospect who rounds out the ‘Top 10’ well. At 6’7″, UNF, FAU, Stetson, FGCU, UMass and FIU have offered while UF, FSU, UCF, Iowa St. and Maryland are keeping tabs, he told Prep Hoops last month.
Others 2020 prospects to keep a close eye on
No. 13: Roger McFarlane (University) – The 6’4″ guard is going to attract a lot of Division I schools this summer in need of a surefire attacker and mid-range shooter.
No. 17: Tony Sanders (Gulliver Prep) – Xavier and Wyoming represent the latest offers for the 6’6″ bloomer.
No. 19: Michael Eads (Edgewater) – FGCU, UNF, FIU and FAU have all offered the 6’5″ leader and point guard.
No. 31: Deangelo Elisee (North Florida Educational) – The 6’8″ big man is a physical specimen who battles on the boards and inside.
No. 39: Michael Phillips (Creekside) – The 6’7″ fundamental wing/power player can shoot a bit and is good in the paint. He has an offer from UNF.
No. 42: Ricardo Wright (Villages) – Headed to The Villages, I fully expect the 6’4″ guard/forward to be an alpha as a senior.
No. 43: Alec Oglesby (The Rock) – USF, UNF, Milwaukee and DePaul have all offered the 6’4″ sharpshooter.
No. 57: Carlos Hart (North Miami) – One of the most underrated guards in the state at 6’4″, Hart is fast and highly intelligent.
