Most Likely to get their First High Major offer: Jackson Sivills, Hoop Dreams/McCracken County – Sivills’ recruitment has quieted down a little lately with the exception of an offer from Belmont after Casey Alexander took the job. That could all change this weekend. Part of Hoop Dreams 17u team, Sivills has had interest from Butler and taken a visit to Louisville. Jackson could really fit somewhere like Butler and I wouldn’t be surprised if he got an offer at that level by Monday.
Most Likely Team to go Undefeated this Weekend: Manimal Elite. They went 3-1 in the first Adidas stop after they added 2022 Paul McMillian out of Ohio to sure up their point guard position. With Jackson Ames from Ohio manning the post, they have a good 2020 group and could emerge from the second Adidas session undefeated and 7-1 overall.
Most Likely Player to Get Their First D1 Offer: Luke Morrison, M.A.T.T.S. Mustangs/South Oldham. Coming off a tremendous Junior season, Luke has been a hot name with coaches following a big weekend in Atlanta last month. At 6’5 with good athleticism and a consistent release on his shot, Morrison could shoot his way into an offer or two this weekend.
Most Likely Player to Rack Up Offers: Justin Powell, Spiece Indy Heat/North Oldham. Recently back from a short stay in Florida, Powell is playing on the biggest platform in AAU and has already gotten a Georgia Tech offer despite playing one game since December. With his size and scoring ability, Justin is going to get multiple other High Major offers.
Most Likely to Score the Most Points in a game this weekend: Brayden Sebastian, Iam3rd Ice/Garrard County. Known for his scoring ability at the high school level, Sebastian also scored 30 or more in multiple AAU games last spring and summer. Don’t be surprised to see him scoring 30+ again this weekend.
Most Likely to Dunk on Someone this Weekend: JJ Traynor, Louisville Legends/Bardstown. Traynor has already had some really nice dunks in the high school season for Bardstown and dunked on multiple people last AAU season before he missed July thanks to a shoulder injury. JJ is long and athletic and great on the offensive glass. Look for him to dunk on someone’s head this weekend.
Most Likely to Get Hot and take over a Game: Marques Warrick, Manimal Elite. One of the better scorers in the state in 2020 and able to get to the rim and finish or make the open jump shot, Ques is going to see single coverage all weekend and he’s so long and quick that he can get past his defender. Don’t be surprised if there is a stretch this weekend where Warrick goes on a stretch of scoring 12-15 straight points for Manimal.
Team With the Most to Prove: Cky Magic – Morton. Coming out of the HoopSeen Bama Jam a couple of weekends ago, Amirion Joyce and Lincoln Bush were being touted by scouts as D1 prospects. Ray Surratt and Amari Taylor both have D1 interest already. The Magic are a well coached group and a successful weekend could result in multiple offers for multiple players by this time next week. They’ll be at the HoopSeen Atlanta Jam this weekend.
