Some kids are hard to evaluate or have not picked up enough publicity because they need to play more. The best way to get seen, play games. Everyone has an opportunity to perform well in workouts, but nothing beats live game action and evaluations.
Justin Brooks (Auburn)- Brooks is an athletic guard that can play both the 1 and 2. The most impressive attributes of his game is his team first style of play and the ability to guard all 3 perimeter spots. Justin is a D2, NAIA, and JUCO level prospect.
Charlie Champagne (Florence)- Champagne is playing with BJBC. At 6’3, Charlie can play all 3 perimeter spots. He is a sneaky athlete, good playmaker, and an excellent shooter. This kid plays with a high IQ. Having a father who is a coaching legend in the state does not hurt either. D2 and NAIA level prospect.
Lior Berman (Mountain Brook)- Berman is also playing with BJBC. The 6’4 forward has a solid mixture of toughness, defense, and ball skill. Berman is a good shooter and can guard multiple positions He is also a very good rebounder. The kid is a winner and competes at a high level every time he is on the floor. D2, D3, NAIA, NCCAA, and JUCO level prospect.
Jaxon Hunter (Hewitt-Trussville)- Hunter is another guard with good size (6’2) and athleticism. Hunter can play both the 1-2, but is a more natural fit at the 2. Very good on ball defender, and he does not shy away from contact. Good shooting stroke from deep. Competes hard on the glass for his position. D2, NAIA and JUCO level prospect.
Braden Pyron (Marion Co)- Braden is a high motor player. With his size (6’4) and athleticism, this kid can play multiple positions. He plays with a high motor, can mix it up inside/out, and can play above the rim. Not to mention, he is a high academic kid. Projects as a hybrid forward. D2, D3, and NAIA level prospect.
Chris Brown (Pelham)- Brown is a 6’5-6’6 forward playing with the JBA Jayhawks. Brown has a solid mixture of athleticism and skill. He might seem undersized at the 4, but he battles hard on the glass. This kid can play through contact and finish above the rim. Showing improved range and ball skill will go a long way for Chris. D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO level prospect.
