We are expecting more commitments to be made in the coming days. Here’s the news from a busy Easter weekend.
JP Robinson (Deshler)- Robinson wasted no time on making his commitment to Samford. Within days of his official visit, the electric point guard chose the Bulldogs. Robinson brings a lot of offensive ability to a Samford team that lost key perimeter pieces after their season. We also need to note that JP was one of the top players in steals this season, and he has the ability to be an active defender. We won’t be surprised to see this kid push for early playing time.
Jeremiah Littlepage (McAdory)- Union University (TN) steals another Alabama wing! Littlepage is a long athletic wing. He can play above the rim, rebound out of area, and defend 1-4. This kid was one of the best perimeter defenders in the state, and is a very versatile player. Jeremiah was ranked in and near the top 10 of the 2019 class all season.
CJ Wright (Stanhope Elmore)- CJ has committed to Ellsworth CC in Iowa. Equipped with good size at 6’1, CJ is capable of playing on/off the ball. More importantly, this kid can defend both spots with the best of them. Wright is a good playmaker and at his best offensively in the open court. It is also worth noting that CJ is a Full Qualifier.
Graham Copeland (Randolph)- Copeland is a high academic combo guard that just committed to play at Rhodes University (TN). This kid plays with a high IQ and is rarely seen taking a bad shot. He has a good feel for the game. It is unfortunate that the injury bug hit him for 2 months, but Copeland will have a great opportunity at Rhodes.
