Over the next couple weeks, we will highlight some of the top prospects in Missouri at each position as well as some sleepers coming off big seasons who we are looking forward to evaluating in the coming months. Here is a look at some of the top wings in the 2021 class.
Aminu Mohammed – Greenwood
My goodness, where do I start? I was very fortunate to be able to catch Aminu and the Blue Jays several times this season, and every time I left the gym I was more impressed. Aminu averaged over 35 points and 17 rebounds per game, leading Greenwood to a Class 2 State Championship. He is a 5-star prospect by all national rankings and is the #1 prospect in the state of Missouri. Aminu is blessed with high-level athleticism but what sets him apart is his work ethic. He has sharp fundamentals and a skill-set well beyond his age that allow him to be a dominant force. We are looking forward to seeing Aminu showcase his talents against some of the country’s best this summer.
Jordan Nesbitt – St. Louis Christian
A 4-star, top 100 prospect by Rivals, Jordan ranks as our #2 sophomore prospect in the state. Playing against a national schedule this year, Nesbitt made strides nearly every game and put together an impressive season. He is 6’6 with a college body already and is looking at a big time summer with Brad Beal Elite. He already holds offers from Ole Miss, Tulane, and Louisiana Monroe with several high-majors showing interest. His combination of size and versatility have college coaching staff’s mouths watering.
Nicholas Kern – Vashon
You have to go beyond the stat sheet to see the unlimited potential that Nicholas Kern has. He was a part of a state champion Vashon team who also played a national schedule. The roster was loaded with high-major talent such as Mario McKinney and Cam’ron Fletcher. Nicholas is a 6’5 wing that is in line for a huge summer and will be a huge piece for the Wolverines moving forward. He had his moments this year as a big-time scoring threat including a 16 point performance in just 12 minutes at the City of Palms Classic. He is already attracting D1 interest from the likes of DePaul and can expect his stock to rise with a big summer.
Isaac Haney – Dora
Isaac put up ridiculous numbers in Dora’s historic season that ended just short of a state title. He averaged over 28 points per game while stroking it from beyond the arc. He has a smooth jumper, flashy handles, and plays with a swagger and confidence that has made him a player capable of taking over at any time. He is another guard who is going to benefit greatly from playing against high level competition throughout the summer. The sky is the limit for Isaac.
Aahmod Scarbrough – Hazelwood Central
It was a strong season for Aahmod who averaged 9.2 points, over 3 rebounds, and 2 assists per game for Hazelwood Central this season. He was named to the Class 5 District 6 All-District Team and also made the Circle 7 Ranch Shootout All-Tournament Team. He scored in double figures in fifteen games this season for the Hawks and was a key contributor in their district title run. He will roll with Team Ramey this summer and look to continue to elevate his stock.
