The Knights played a Carolina Basketball Academy on Friday night that just overpowered the Knights from start to finish.
The Knights had solid play from Dillon Harrison, Akram Ben Salah, Vlad Moroz, Josh Rubio, and Shawn Wilson
Harrison (2019) 6’5 is a UNSIGNED SENIOR who reached a milestone this weekend. Harrison scored his 2,001 career point at the 14:56 mark of the 2nd half vs Word of God JV. Harrison started his career at Union Academy in Monroe, NC before coming to Comenius. Harrison played really well around the rim all weekend and showed some deceptive athleticism.
Salah (2019) – 6’7 UNSIGNED SENIOR plays the game extremely hard and isn’t afraid to get on the floor for loose balls. Salah originally hails from Tunisia in Northern Africa. Salah can connect on the baseline jumper and seemed comfortable from playing 14-16 feet in on the floor.
Moroz (2020) – 6’10 hails from Russia and he’s going to be a good one. Moroz is very agile with a great wingspan on the floor .Moroz a left-hander plays very physical and isn’t afraid of contact at all. Moroz runs the floor and has the ability to alter and challenge shots on the defensive end. Moroz really needs to stay out of foul trouble dow nthe road.
Rubio (2020) – 6’6 is thick framed post player for the Knights. Rubio has great mitts in the paint and solid footwork. Rubio plays with some attitude and isn’t afraid to mix it up inside at all. Rubio is averaging 11.7 ppg this season for the Knights.
Wilson (2021) – 6’2 is a quick shooting guard who has the ability to stretch the defense on the floor. Wilson knocked down several three pointers this weekend.
