Now it’s time to take the level up a notch. North Shore just came off of a Football State Championship. This is the deepest playoff run for George Ranch in there schools history. Here are the synopsis and upshot of the game.
The game was a chess match. The Longhorns came out hot to start to quarter. Solid play by Noah Thomasson set the tone for his team. They were able to get out in transition and score easy baskets. As the second quarter began, North Shore came out in there full court press. The press altered the uptempo play of George Ranch. The Mustangs were able to capitalize off the early turnovers to tie up the game going into the half. The third quarter the teams were exchanging runs. Defense was tight on both ends, plus both teams were getting after the loose balls. Noah Thomasson finished with a layup through traffic that danced around the rim before it went in. In the fourth quarter it was a game patience. It wasn’t a stall the ball game. It was a lot of stiff defense being played. North Shore put a Box-1 on Noah and held him to 1 point which came at the Free-Throw Line. Good ball movement and Bruce Scott was the main factor for North Shore. He made a tough contested layup to put the Mustangs up by 1, 33-32 with (3:02) left in the quarter. They never let the lead go and held on to be victorious.

Bruce Scott 6’2 SG / North Shore / 2019
Had a slow start to the game, but turned it up in the second half with 10 points. He was able to finish at the rim well. Also knocked down a long ball in the game. Has a solid frame and isn’t the quickest guard. He is a tough assignment though for opponents. He has great lateral movement defensively. Finished with 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. He is in the picture.
Oriekose Egbule 6’1 PG / North Shore / 2020
Was consistent the entire game. Scrappy defender. Has a quick first step. Finished some tough layups at the rim. Very poised and is a main factor on his team on both sides of the ball. Finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds.
Noah Thomasson 6’3 PG / George Ranch / 2019 PHTX200
Noah was all over the floor the entire game. His mid-range game was on point. He is crafty with the ball in his hands. Has great ball speed while dribbling. Was able to beat his opponent off the dribble every time. Has long arms and deflected several passes. Finished with 13 points, 2 assist, and 2 steals.
