Top Performers from GA Cup I (Part 2)
Georgia Cup I was held last weekend at Suwanee Sports Academy. Many high school prospects impressed with their play and helped their teams advance in the tournament. Here is who stood out at Georgia Cup I:
T.J. Campbell (Stamp Squad)– Campbell is tough at the point guard position. He plays with great pace and is very quick with the ball in his hands. The East Hall standout has great floor vision and a quick trigger from three-point distance to match. Overall, Campbell is a solid guard.
Dee Buffington (Stamp Squad)– Buffington is always in attack mode. He plays with a high motor offensively and defensively. Buffington has a tight handle and finishes well at the rim. Campbell and Buffington of Stamp Squad have great chemistry and were one of the top backcourts in the tournament.
Jameel Rideout (Double Trouble)- Jameel Rideout (pictured) does a little bit of everything on the floor. He is aggressive on both ends of the court and completes Double Trouble’s three-guard offense. He knocks down the open shot and gets to the rim with ease in the half court. Rideout finished with 18 points in a win over Atlanta Select.
Jacob Woods (Powerhouse Elite 2020)– Woods shot the ball well from three-point distance in week one of Georgia Cup. The lefty has good form on his jump shot and always delivered for his team down the stretch.
