WTBA bade the game close initially, hitting a lot of outside shots while Hustle missed several that appeared open and makeable. However, consistent defensive pressure and more aggression in attacking the basket was enough for Hustle to take a big lead and close it out.
Here are my three stars from the championship game:
Jordan Hernandez
Hernandez helped Hustle get off to its lead in the second half, started by an early run of steals leading to baskets in transition. He was pesky to opposing ball handlers, causing them to make errors. When he got the ball in the offensive set, he dribbled up the floor quickly, and got into the paint for layups and kick-outs.
Gabe Prior
WTBA was really intent early to get the ball to its forwards in the post. Prior stood tall all game and used hi quick feet and hands too cause poor shots and misses. From there, he was the best defensive rebounder on the floor, and hit shots in the flow of the offense on the other end.
Gabe Aguilar
He had the most complete day offensively of anybody on the floor. With good shooting from outside and impressive finishes at the rim with both hands, he was the catalyst for Hustle to take its late lead that it would never squander.
