The top 7 players in our updated rankings are all between 6’6-6’10, with a variety of skill sets and positions on the floor. Three of those top 7 are at the forward position and they are progressing quickly! Each one of these players holds a PAC-12 offer at this stage and their recruitment is projected to only go up, as the travel season approaches. Here the three elite bigs in 2020!
2020 6’8 PF Tari Eason (Federal Way HS) – Tari’s stock has gone up more than anyone’s in the last year. He played very little at Garfield in his first two seasons of high school. The spring of his sophomore season, Tari played on Seattle Rotary’s 16u team with zero offers. In July he made the switch over to Team Bradley 17u on the adidas circuit and quickly found himself in the top 100 in country and picked up his first D1 offer in the process. He also made a move over to Federal Way HS at the start of his junior year and the momentum kept rolling for Tari Eason. His skill set is quickly expanding and he’s grown into his body some, allowing him to show off his high level athleticism. Tari will stay on the adidas circuit in his final travel season teaming up with ML20/Hoop Salem.
2020 6’10 C Mitchell Saxen (Ingraham HS) – Another stock riser over the course of the last year! Saxen is now 6’10 and possesses a long reach. He blocked shots all over the place during the winter and showed a lot of perimeter game on offense as well. Mitchell is definitely more of a skill player than a banger inside, but he knows how to play to his strengths. Multiple PAC-12 schools are on the junior and Team LaVine is expecting him to have a big season on the adidas circuit. As he continues to add strength, it will only take his game to another level.
2020 6’8 PF Kendall Munson (Puyallup HS) – Kendall created a lot of buzz in Washington when he transferred in from California. He was one of the top youth players in Washington during his elementary years, but no one had really seen him since middle school, since he moved to California during that time. He quickly made a name for himself again and gave Federal Way fits in their matchup this season. In the state tournament, he gained multiple Division 1 offers to carry into the spring season. UW had their eyes on him and decided to go ahead and offer after watching him dominate the boards at the state tournament. Kendall is physically very strong and has a solid feel for the game. He will only get better with time and could potentially prove to be one of the better 2020’s in the country with a strong travel season. *Featured image
