First Team All State
Boden Skunberg, Junior, Jamestown. Boden scored 24.1 points per game on 49.9 percent shooting this year plus grabbed 8.1 rebounds a contest. The NDSU committed 2020 led his team to a state championship. Skunberg led the WDA in scoring.
Mason Walters, Senior, Jamestown. Walters was the third leading scorer in his league (over 21 points a contest), the second lead rebounder (11 a game), and was second in blocks. The 6-foot-6 frontcourt prospect headed to Jamestown U averaged a double-double for the state champions.
Treyton Mattern, Senior, Bismarck Century. Future U of Mary guard led his team to the state Final Four with 23 points, 4.5 rebounds, and just over three assists a contest. With Feeney injured Mattern was a 20 plus shot a game guy and he finished at a solid 45 percent from the field for his 18-9 team.
Elijah Klein, Junior, Mandan. Klein led Class A in rebounding at a dozen a contest and was the fifth leading scorer in the league at 20 points per game. Mandan went 16-10 with Klein scoring on a ridiculous 63 percent of his 344 field goal attempts this season.
Braeton Motschenbacher, Senior, Fargo Davies. Davies won 24 of 27 games this year with Motschenbacher putting 20.5 points per game on the board shooting 51 percent as a wing and leading the EDC in foul shooting (83 percent). Davies won the EDC and earned a second place finish at state.
Second Team All State
Luke Lennon, Senior, West Fargo. Luke scored on 58 percent of his field goal attempts putting up his 20.4 points per game while grabbing 9.8 boards each night. West Fargo was 21-6 this season and a big reason was Luke’s five offensive boards a game.
Christian Kuntz, Senior, West Fargo Sheyenne. Sheyenne went 19-5 this season with Christian recording 18 points a game while also listing second in the EDC with 4.5 assists each game.
Grant Nelson, Junior, Devils Lake. The 6-foot-8 big helped Devils Lake to a .500 year scoring 16.4 a night plus leading the EDC in boards at 11.8 a game and he led Class A basketball in blocks with five a contest.
Joe Jahner, Senior, Bismarck. Joe was the fourth leading scorer in the WDA putting in 20.6 points per game on 42 percent shooting from the arc. In addition to be an elite three-point shooter Jahner also grabbed four boards a game for his 17-7 Demons.
Jaxon Gunville, Junior, Minot. Jaxon lived up to his shooting reputation taking more than half of his shots at the arc and making 41.2 percent of those threes. He scored just over 17 points a game for 15-9 Minot plus grabbed about five boards a game.
Third Team All State
Cayden Rickard, Junior, Fargo North. Cayden scored 18 points per game while also dishing out four assists and ranking second in steals in the EDC.
Trey Wiest, Senior, Mandan. Wiest scored a team high 17 points a contest for Mandan while also being second on the team in assists.
Julian Parisien, Senior, Turtle Mountain. Julian scored nearly 20 points a contest while also leading his team in rebounding at nearly seven a contest.
Cade Feeney, Junior, Bismarck Century. When Cade was healthy he was a 38 percent shooter at the arc scoring 16 points a contest. Injuries slowed him part of the season.
Talon Hoffer, Junior, Fargo Shanley. Talon put together a 17 point, 3.3 assists, 2.4 steal per game year.
