Trenton Austin, 6’5, F, 2019, Pittsburg
An athletic interior player, Austin is also a standout on the football field and it’s easy to see why as on the hardwood, he runs and jumps exceptionally well and brings good strength and size to the floor. Austin did a good job of cleaning things up around the basket in the Purple Dragons’ loss to Andover Central, scoring eight points, hauling in seven rebounds and throwing down a powerful two-handed slam in the second half.
Payton Cantrell, 6’5, F, 2019, Pittsburg
An athletic wing player, Cantrell has an inside-out game. He runs the floor well, finishes around the basket and can knock down outside shots. Cantrell saw significant playing time off the bench for Pittsburg in Emporia, showcasing potential. He recently committed to play at Fort Scott Community College.
Richaud Dockery, 6’2, F, 2020, Bonner Springs
Dockery is a well-rounded, do-everything athlete who can handle the ball, play multiple positions and knock down outside shots. He can play above the rim, rebound and gets out in transition where he can take the ball coast-to-coast. With Bonner Springs losing several key seniors, Dockery will have a big role next season.
Tanner Ohnmeis, 6’4, G/F, 2019, Maize
Ohnmeis brought toughness and a strong, well-rounded, versatile skill set to the court, able to defend multiple positions, get to the free throw line and get on the boards. He is a tough defender, capable guarding multiple positions, can handle the ball a little and can sneak in for an offensive rebound.
Kobe Sifford, 6’2, G, 2019, Basehor-Linwood
Sifford is a solid guard who is a creative ball handler, can knock down 3-pointers and brings an all-around game to the floor. He had some solid moments for Basehor-Linwood in Emporia as his play was a big key for the Bobcats. A left hander, he showed the ability to create offense for himself and others.
