5-Noah Butler, 6’5, G/F, 2019, Lawrence Free State
Butler is playing the best ball of his career, scoring buckets, hauling in rebounds and defending multiple positions with speed and aggression. He is a physical, strong athlete, capable of throwing down power dunks in traffic and can handle the ball well on the perimeter and knock down deep shots as well. Butler’s stock has jumped considerably this season and his short step quickness to the basket is looking even better than before.
1-Jackie Johnson, 5’10, G, 2021, Wichita-Southeast
Johnson just doesn’t go away. He can hit defenders with a mid-range jumper or pull it out and sink a deep 3-pointer. He has great handles and spins the ball in a way that fakes out opponents. He can get breathing room in the paint and enjoys going left and kissing the ball off the glass.
0-Christian Braun, 6’6, PG, 2019, Blue Valley Northwest
The elite guard continued showcase a dynamic game across the board, controlling the tempo of the game whenever he was on the floor. Scoring was an ease as he finds shots on the move from inside, the mid-range and beyond the 3-point line. An impressive player who does anything he wants to on both ends of the floor.
0-Katrell Raimey, 6’3, G/F, 2020, Olathe North
Raimey made his first statement with a dunk on Blue Valley Northwest forward Michael Peake. He added several important baskets in transition and in half court settings which come off his defensive stops on the other end. He has good size and handles the ball well. A quick player who bounces when he drives.
15-Jordan White, 6’0, G, 2019, Washburn Rural
A physical, tough guard who can handle the ball and go inside and find a basket. He continued to be a pass-first player who can gamble for himself at times. He is a thoughtful player and he attacks the basket for a bucket but shows a willingness to sacrifice a look for his teammate. Also a good defender and rebounder who can burn opponents in transition. He had a big first-round game, scoring 20 points, hauling in 12 rebounds and went 12 for 14 from the free throw line. White put together a strong semifinals performances, scoring 11 points, hauling in nine rebounds, handed out two steals and picked up three steals. Also a football standout, White has signed to play at Drake.
