Trequan Carrington – 2019 – PG – Martin Luther
All Carrington did on Thursday was set the single-game state tournament scoring record with 41 points and the record for most made field goals with 18. The senior guard was unstoppable, getting to the rim at will in transition and in the halfcourt. An electric, explosive scorer, Carrington was 18-of-30 shooting. The lefty sized his man up and blew by for countless dribble drives. He was a pest defensively, hounding Northwestern up the floor and creating chaos before the opposition could even get past halfcourt. Carrington also added six steals, five rebounds, and three assists in 27 just minutes in an easy win over Northwestern.

Marcus Domask – 2019 – SF – Waupun
Domask did two things really well on Thursday. First, he didn’t let a rough offensive start impact the rest of his game. The Northern Kentucky commit had a couple shots blocked at the rim and missed a few bunnies, but he was still very active on the glass and setting up his teammates offensively. Second, when it was time to take over and be a star, Domask helped Waupun throw the final punch. Finishing with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists, Domask scored 10 points during a three-minute stretch as the Warriors put the game away.

Ace Evans – 2019 – SG – Martin Luther
A kid that just gets buckets, Evans was was overshadowed by Carrington’s huge performance, but was still a big reason for the blowout over Northwestern. The senior guard came up with 21 points on an efficient 9-of-13 shooting. When Evans gets to his left hand, it’s over. Defenders know he’s going that way and still can’t stop him as Evans sets them up with a beautiful hesitation blow-by. Defensively, Evans slowed down Northwestern’s leading scorer Sam Risley to six points on 1-of-8 shooting and contributed four steals in the victory.
Jaden Kreklow – 2019 – PG – New Glarus
First trip to state. Facing an undefeated team and the defending Division 4 state champions. All that wasn’t too much for Kreklow, who scored a game-high 21 points to advance New Glarus to the title game. Kreklow was extremely poised throughout and made play after play, including the game-winning putback with under a minute left. A crafty floor general that changes pace extremely well and stops on a dime, Kreklow is a nightmare to try and stay in front of. He was outstanding at getting to the bucket or drawing defenders and dropping off passes to his teammates. Despite being the 4-seed, this New Glarus squad can win a state championship if Kreklow is this good on Saturday.
Stop sleeping on @jaden_kreklow. 21 points for @NGHoops, who took down the defending Division 4 state champions. @WiscoAcademy #wisbb pic.twitter.com/XBQ6iHEpAK

Logan Mulhern – 2019 – G/F – Osseo-Fairchild
Mulhern had one of the best individual efforts in a loss in recent memory. By the 7:30 mark of the first half, Mulhern already had a double-double. That’s how dominant the senior was in the paint against Lourdes Academy in the Division 4 semifinals. Then Mulhern took his game to the outside, knocking down a couple triples and eventually helping his team take the lead early in the second half after Osseo-Fairchild had trailed by as many as 16 points. Mulhern was in beast mode all game. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, but watching him play, it feels like he’s closer to 6-foot-5 the way he viciously attacks the glass and powers through contact. Mulhern would go onto finish with 33 points (13-24), 20 rebounds (12 offensive), and six assists.
Henry Noone – 2019 – SG – Lourdes Academy
It can be difficult to gauge at the small school level, but Noone looks like someone we need to elevate in the final class of 2019 rankings. A skilled scoring two-guard, Noone scored a team-high 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting to lead Lourdes Academy into the D4 state championship game past Osseo-Fairchild. With 57 seconds left, Noone hit a clutch 3-pointer to tie the game at 68, setting up the game-winner on Lourdes’ next possession. Noone did an excellent job of moving without the basketball, roaming the perimeter, and hunting shots. He’s also got a quick first step off the dribble and can finish at the rim.
Brody Payton – 2019 – SF – Northwestern
Payton was a bright spot for Northwestern during a lopsided loss to Martin Luther. The senior wing scored a team-high 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting. The Spartans almost dared Payton to shoot from the outside on Thursday and he responded with a 5-of-6 effort from 3-point range. While his scoring grabbed the most attention, Payton is an energy player and vocal leader for the Tigers. He added six rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes.
Zane Short – 2019 – W/G – Denmark
Short did a really nice job of getting Denmark afloat when Patrick Suemnick went to the bench with four fouls. Short has really good size at 6-foot-5 and can invert himself in the offense, catching on the block and showing an advanced post game for a guard. Short scored a team-high 16 points to go along with eight rebounds and two assists. Also a standout defender, Short can play bigger than his size, but is also comfortable chasing guards around the perimeter. Currently uncommitted, Short should have solid value at the small school level.
Patrick Suemnick – 2019 – PF – Denmark
He got plagued by foul trouble later in the game, but Suemnick showed off some terrific play in Thursday’s loss to Waupun. Defensively, Suemnick did an excellent job on Domask for about 25 minutes, keeping the state’s top ranked player in check and away from the rim. Suemnick had three huge blocks as well. Offensively, the senior forward got off to a great start, connecting on some tough fade away jumpers with the defense draped all over him. The 6-foot-8 forward doesn’t have a deep offensive skill set, but moves well and is fluid enough to develop his handles and outside stroke at the next level. Suemnick finished with 11 points in the defeat.
