Standout Wings & Forwards:
Elijah Glenn (6’5″ / F 2019 / Harvest Prep):Elijah Glenn was a big factor inside for the Warriors. Whether it’s a cut to the rim or stepping our for a three, the senior had it going. Glenn made it tough for the opposing team on the block. A big factor in his teams state championship win.
Nehemiah Benson (6’6″ / F 2020 / Lutheran East): Nehemiah Benson was solid for his Falcons team, even showing the ability to knock it down from deep. A big frame, the junior fights tough inside to finish in the post, a putback machine. Grabbing seven offensive rebounds, Benson gave himself and his team a lot of second chance opportunities.
Samuel Barton (6’3″ / F 2020 / Columbus South): Sam Barton really took advantage of being obviously overlooked by the Trotwood gameplan. Barton ran the floor well and had a number of baseline cuts that led to easy buckets. Barton battled on the boards and was able to get some second chances for the Bulldogs. The junior competes at a high level. Really impressive game for Barton, even showing some ability to handle the ball with a nice look ahead pass that must be stated.
Wade Sheets (6’3″ / WF 2019 / Convoy Crestview): 21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists Sheets was really impressive from the floor going 7-9, scoring from inside and out.
Alec Pfriem (6’4″ / F 2019 / Cincinnati Moeller): Alec Pfriem was impressive all weekend long and that continued in the championship game. Going 7-11 for 19 points, the senior did a great job of picking his shot. At the wing forward position, Pfriem works hard down low, totaling 8 rebounds. A big game for the D1 State Champion.
