Standout Guards:
CJ Anthony (6’0″ / G 2020 / Harvest Prep): On Saturday morning, CJ Anthony was dominant. Playing downhill per usual, he attacked the rim on a mission. Scoring 21 points, the junior also did work from deep where he shot 2-5. The tough guard can rebuild with the bigs and proved that with five of those. A hound on defense, Anthony will pick you up the court length and press it all the way. A great showing for the stud Anthony.
Soul Hines (6’4″ / G 2019 / Harvest Prep): Soul Hines was perfect from the floor in the championship game, doing a great job of spacing the floor. Going 3-3 from deep, Hines gave the Warriors that spark. Hines used his length to defend the perimeter with success as well.
Amari Davis (6’4″ / G 2019 / Trotwood-Madison): Amari Davis was the stud player everyone knows him as against South. When Trotwood was trailing and needed a bucket, Davis worked off the screen to get a good look. Davis went on a key 6-0 run himself late in the game to help his team get the lead. A lefty fall-away from the baseline is a dangerous move in his bag. Showing two way tools, he went for four steals and a block as well. An all-around great game for the state champion.
Trevell Adams (5’9″ / G 2020 / Columbus South): Trevell Adams is flat out one of the best finishers in the state. Crafty through the lane, Adams keeps his balance and finishes TOUGH. A giant boost off the bench for south, Adams can go get a bucket when his team needed one. Once again a great rebounder from the guard spot, as he can bounce with the best of them.
Sammy Anderson (6’2″ / G 2020 / Trotwood-Madison): Sammy Anderson was the man in the first half, scoring 15 of his 20 points. Anderson is fast to the hoop, and creates space well. Anderson can score off the dribble, and has the ability to create some offense for his team with solid court vision.
Miles McBride (6’2″ / G 2019 / Cincinnati Moeller): Miles McBride was excellent in the biggest game of his career thus far. Doing a little bit of everything, the West Virginia commit showed solid shot selection as well as efficiency. The guard grabbed six boards, where they often got out in transition. An option to create for the Moeller offense, the senior dished our three assists.
