Tekele Smith – Tru Heat
He played well as a big man for Tru Heat, patroling the paint and making his size felt. His rebounds on both ends were important to the championship game. He scored from everywhere, and was a force playing defense both near the rim and out on the perimeter.
Anthony Jaramillo – Tru Heat
While the game got close in the second half, Jaramillo looked like the best player in the game for the last ten minutes, slashing to the rim with the ball and hitting strong lay ups with both hands. A seven-point individual run at about 10:00 remaining grew a lead the team would never squander.
Lareon Ginnis – Gladiators
Ginnis played with seemingly-endless energy the whole game, controlling the ball and getting into the paint on offense to hit lay ups and draw fouls. On defense, he was a real pest, in a positive way, making it hard for others to get past him and causing some steals and transition opportunities.
Tre and Kris Floyd – Tru Heat
The pair of brothers looked to get teammates involved on the offensive end, passing to the many scorers on a consistent basis. But, both were best when they were attacking the paint to shoot lay ups and draw in extra defenders to kick out to shooters on the perimeter. Both were unafraid to take and make catch-and-shoot jumpers from outside themselves.
