Matt Jensen – AZ Wild
He led the offense well from the point, as he had all tournament. But, his biggest contribution came on the defensive end. He bothered opposing guards, but also did a great job taking on big guys down low in zone defense. He also hit a few clutch jumpers to put the game away.
Brandon Youngkrantz – AZ Wild
He set great screens on offense for ball handlers to find space, but also was effective scoring near the basket in big moments. When Tru Heat tightened up on defense in the second half, he found baskets on post moves and put-backs off missed shots.
Carl Wilson – Tru Heat
I don’t think Wilson got the playing time he deserved, because he produced well off the bench. He played well, especially on offense, staying within his own game and getting to the basket off slashes and dribble-drives.
Joe Nunez – AZ Wild
As he did all tournament, he dribbled well and did a good job keeping the offense flowing with Jensen off the floor. He hit a few nice pull-up jumpers in the second half, and hustled hard on the defensive side.
