Continue ReadingOrr went back to back to back for state championships in 2A. A big reason for that was senior standout Tujautae Williams. The 6’6” small forward is the state’s top uncommitted prospect in the 2019 class. During his final high school season he averaged 13.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists while shooting 55% from the field. Williams is an outstanding slasher with his long strides and the slithery way he gets through traffic. Sound wing rebounder and a capable passer that showed that part of his game off at state. Long and lanky build gives him potential on the defensive end at the college level. Next step in his evolution will be to develop a more consistent three point shot.
We caught up with Williams after winning the 2A crown to get the latest on his recruitment. He broke down which schools are making the most aggressive recruiting pitches to him.
“The ones that are recruiting me the most are New Mexico, Minnesota, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Tulsa, Buffalo, TCU, Northwestern, and Miami just got in the picture.”
All of those schools have offered except for Northwestern and Miami. Are there any schools he knows he wants to take official visits?
“New Mexico, Minnesota, and Clemson right now for sure.”
Does he have any visits lined up yet?
“Not yet because you know all the schools are in March Madness right now so about time April comes I should have all dates set up.”
