He gets after it with aggressive perimeter defense. Powerful turning his shoulders and getting downhill to the rim. Shows some passing feel in the lane finding teammates on quick dishes inside.
The junior discussed this past high school season with Trinity.
“My year went good. We finished in the quarterfinals. First time in school history we won districts. It felt good. The first part of the season I played just ok and didn’t play my real game. Toward the end of the season I started playing my game and picking it up.”
He broke down his game and what he brings to the table as a player.
“I am more of a combo guard that can attack the basket. I can get my jump shot off and like to get my players shots before I get mine.”
This spring he will be running with the Southwest Jets. What is he looking to prove?
“My ability to play at the next level.”
Weekly-McDaniels discussed where things stand with his recruitment.
“My recruiting is going good. I am talking to Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have an offer from Western Illinois. Talked to Indiana State and some Missouri Valley schools.”
He talked about his relationship with Western Illinois.
“I like the coaching staff. I like Coach Wright and Coach Anderson and their style of play.”
What has Wisconsin-Milwaukee said they like about his game?
“They said like how I attack the basket and get my players open.”
The 2020 guard plans on taking a couple visits in the near future.
“I know I am supposed to visit SEMO and Wisconsin-Milwaukee soon.”
