Yates pushing the tempo knocks down two quick trey balls to open up the lead. Applying pressure and quickness is giving the Eagles fit early on in the quarter. Jordan Walsh settles it down with an emphatic two-handed flush. The second quarter Faith Family came out on a run and took the lead for a moment. Yates defense picked right back up and they took control of the game. Faith Family ca,e out very aggressive in the quarter. Jordan Walsh with a nasty jam over defender got his team going in the right direction. Yates persistency on defense allowed them to take the lead back once again. A big dunk to close out the quarter by Trae Clayton. The fourth quarter there were a lot of charges called in the game. Both teams played really stiff defense. Faith Family goes on a 7 point run to open up the lead 73-66. The Eagles played stall ball. The Lions applied pressure and closed the lead-up. The Eagles were able to seal the win and move on to the UIL State Championship Game.

Rubin Jones 6’4 PG / Yates / 2020 PHTX100
Played through an injured ankle and still had a good game. Played fluid on the court. Solid on both ends of the floor. He was contesting and blocking shots. Has a great bounce to his game. Was able to finish a pair of tough layups back to back. Finished with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assist, 3 blocks, and 3 steals. Shot 4/10-FG, 1/2-3FG, and 3/6-FT.
JoQuarius Valrie 6’5 SF / Yates / 2019 PHTX200
His stock continues to rise. He was the X factor for his team. He was able to create his own shot. Took his man off the dribble with ease. He scored the ball at all levels. Played scrappy on the defensive side of the ball. Finished with 27 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Shot 11/20-FG, 5/9-3FG, and 0/2-FT.
Antwon Norman 6’0 SG / Yates / 2020
Very active. Plays with a good motor. Can create his own shot. Attacks the lane and gaps. Pesky on-ball defender. He is bouncy for his size and is known for dunking defenders. Finished the game with 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Shot 5/12-FG, 1/2-3FG, and 1/2-FT.
Kayden Rose 6’2 SG / Yates / 2019
Shot the ball well. Played solid on the offensive side of the ball. Moved well without the ball. Was able to get into the lane off the dribble. Finished with 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Shot 4/7-FG, 3/5-3FG, and 7/8-FT.
Trae Clayton 6’4 SF / Faith Family / 2022 PHTX25
Great motor. Attacking the lane and finishing despite being contested. Playing on a different level. Had a pair of flushes in the game. Great elevation on his shot. Finished at a very high rate. He is quick off the ground when jumping. Was able to take his man from the wing. Finished with 35 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 steals. He shot 16/21-FG and 3/6-FT. (As seen in the picture).
Jordan Walsh 6’7 SF / Faith Family / 2022 PHTX25
Long with a great wingspan. He is uber bouncy. Tries to play above the rim every possession. Has a big upside to his game. Plays physical on the defensive side of the ball. Finished with 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Shot 5/9-FG and 1/2-FT.
Rakeim Gary 5’10 G / Faith Family / 2019
Was in 5e right places at the right time. He got pivotal points. His steal was a turning point. Had a key rebound to that turned into a 4 point play. Plays with a great motor. Finished with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Shot 5/15-FG, 1/2-3FG, and 1/2-FT.
Mike Lenoir 5’10 PG / Faith Family / 2019
Heads point guard that is a pass first point. Creates well for his teammates. Has a quick first step. Pesky on-ball defender. Finished the game with 7 points and 8 assists. He shot 1/2-FG and 5/5-FT.
