A combo-guard with a penchant for putting the ball in the hoop, Jackson says he likes to focus on being an all-around player, including setting his teammates up for success.
“My strength is just scoring in general, and shooting, passing, I try and do everything,” said Jackson. “I try and make an impact by getting guys open in spots where they need the ball at, and I just look for the best opportunity for our team.”
He added: “What I need to get better at is dribbling through traffic, that’s what I’ll focus on the most, and then finishing through taller players.”
As a junior with the Wolverines, Jackson averaged 12 points and five rebounds per game. “I was one of the leaders on the team, one of the guys that my teammates looked up to,” he said.
It was his ability to deliver during crunch time that he said was one of his best traits.
“This year, I feel like I did well in critical situations, I was able to take over,” said Jackson. “And I feel like I led the troops and did well to keep things under control.”
Jackson’s into baseball season now, but says basketball is his main sport. He’s not sure what grassroots team he’ll play with this spring and summer, but he does plan on playing 17U ball.
“This offseason, I just plan on putting in work and just working on my overall game,” said Jackson, who’s eager for his recruitment to start up soon.
“I plan on starting to get my stuff out there to college coaches and just being seen. I don’t really have any college interest yet, but I plan on that starting when I get my film out there.”
