A Meridian product, Rowbury predicates his game in the post, but is certainly a capable jump-shooter, rendering him a true versatile threat.
“I make an impact by being able to be a stretch-five and being able to shoot the ball, and play inside when I need to,” said Rowbury. “I feel like on defense I’m not the quickest but I can clog up the middle and force difficult shots when people come into the paint.”
He added: “I definitely need to continue and work on my post game, and then overall just getting quicker and stronger.”
Rowbury didn’t play much with Meridian, and missed most of the season after undergoing a minor surgery. He played the first five games. “This season went pretty well, when I did play it was good,” he said.
He’s now back to 100 percent and gearing up for his 16U offseason with Boise Slam, they’ll be playing on the adidas Gauntlet this spring and summer. And Rowbury, with his size and versatility, could turn a lot of heads.
“I haven’t really been talking to anyone, but I’m just hoping to get my name out there to some Division I coaches,” he said. “And hopefully pick up a few offers this spring and summer.”
