Any POY award is a huge honor and is a reflection of a student athlete’s hard work and dedication. Jayden Stone is more than deserving for the honor. Stone is a humble kid who loves the game and is a great ambassador for his school. On the court, Jayden is a 3 level scorer who stays in attack mode. He has worked hard to become a well rounded offensive threat. Jayden does more for his team than score. He rebounds extremely well, he defends multiple positions, and Stone makes winning plays on both ends of the court. This kid does not shy away from competition. There is a reason Jayden Stone is a Top 50 Junior by multiple scouting organizations. Stone finished the season averaging 21 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game. The 6’3 combo guard will tell you that the stats don’t matter, because team success is the ultimate prize. Unfortunately, Sacred Heart fell short of winning a state title this season, but I have no doubt Stone will stay hungry and lead his team back to Birmingham.
