Today was the first day of the Prep Hoops Hustle SZN Kickoff! Powerhouse Hoops had the statement of the day, taking down The Truth EYBL in the 17U Division.

The first half of the game was super competitive and remained somewhat close. In the second half, PHH pulled away and eventually won the game 61-38.

The PHH guards looked very good and was the main reason they pulled away. Evan Nelson, Brycen Long, and Trent Brown ran the show nicely! They all made key passes and pushed the pace in favor of PHH.

Alem Huseinovic, Kiimani Holt, and Logan Phillips ran the 2 spot nicely for PHH and provided some nice scoring. Alem had the high 18 points and couldn’t miss a jump shot. Holt struggled to score but was playing great defense. Logan Phillips gave a huge boost on the board and had some nice put backs.

The forward pair of Hunter Ruck and Osa Ighodaro provided some toughness and rebounds for PHH. Osa is super versatile standing at 6’9 while having great athleticism and mobility. Ruck impressed with his tenacity and toughness, especially when fighting for the boards.
