We take into consideration numerous things such as three point shots made and attempted as well as overall field goal percentage, with that being said, the state of North Carolina is full of guys that can knock down deep shots.
First Flight HS 2020 Guard Dylan Blake: He’s not afraid to let it fly as he is one of the best shooters in the state, and doesn’t need much time to get his shot off. D2 programs have begun to show more interest with some even extending offers already, he’s an outstanding talent and a great kid.
Raleigh Homeschool 2020 Guard Mitchell McGrath: He understands his role and plays it well, averaging just under 16 Points per night and shooting over 50% from the three point land. He moves well without the ball, gets decent lift on his shot and does a pretty good job of taking high percentage shots.
Northwood Temple 2019 Guard Josh Nickelberry: The Louisville signee can put the ball in the bucket in a hurry from just about any place on the court which is one of the reason he is such a tough player to defend. He dropped 27 PPG and 83 treys on the year, his scoring is something that we fell can be used on the next level sooner than later.
Westover HS 2021 Guard Darius Jewell: You may underestimate him due to his size and young look but once the game gets going, you can see without a doubt that he is a player. In his first season logging varsity minuets, he had some outstanding three point shooting performances, finishing 7th in the county for public schools in three point makes.
Lincoln Charter 2019 Guard Jackson Gabriel: Any time you have a player scoring 20 PPG you always question exactly how are they getting their points. Well with Jackson a portion is coming off of his stellar shooting without a doubt as he averaged 5 made three point shots per contest.
Roanoke Rapids 2019 Guard Paul Whitby: We got the chance to see him in December at the Good Guys vs Cancer event at First Flight HS and we left impressed. He’s a player that score it at a high level but more importantly, he’s an efficient player. You won’t see him take too many bad shots and even though he is an outstanding shooter, he has the ability to penetrate and finish inside the paint.
New Life Christian 2020 Guard Phil Martin Jr: He definitely is a player that you don’t want to leave open at any time. He understands how to get his shot off in a quick manner and has good range on his shot as well, once he gets hot from downtown, it can be a long night for defenders.
