In game 1 of the UIL-6A Region III Semifinal. North Shore Mustangs (31-3) took on Fort Bend Elkins Knights (31-7). The winner of this game goes on to play in the Region III Finals tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. Here is the synopsis and upshot of the game.

Elkins was off to a hot start. Knocking down three trey balls in a matter of [1:30]. But the turnovers that the Knights were committing kept the Mustangs in the game. North Shore ended the quarter with a nasty oop.  North Shore came out with a quick bucket to start the second quarter. Elkins answered back with a run of 6 straight points. From that point on they were trading buckets. As the buzzer sounded for halftime. Stretch finishes with a nasty layup through traffic. Elkins comes out with 7 straight buckets to start the third period. Pushing the lead to 14 points which would be there biggest of the game.
