The winner of this game goes on to play in the Region III Finals tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. Here is the synopsis and upshot of the game.
The Broncos could not buy a bucket in the first quarter of the game. The Longhorns controlled the flow the entire first half. Hot shooting start by Dean got the fans fired up. The defensive presence down low also got the team juiced. Bush picked up the pace in the second quarter and started to play its brand of basketball. The Longhorns stayed the course offensively also. Although Fort Bend Bush controlled the second half of the game. They also shot themselves out of the game shooting a whopping 1/15 from behind the arc for the entire game. The Longhorns were able to pace themselves to a victory by shooting 15/20 from the foul line in the second half of the game.

Dalon Dean 6’3 SG / George Ranch / 2019
Dalon has a quick jumper with a quick release. He can shoot in rhythm and out of rhythm. Shoots off of screens well. He is also bouncy and can play above the rim. Plays solid defensively with good lateral movement. Finished with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Shot 3/6-2FG, 2/7-3FG, and 6/8-FT. He has a D3 offer from Concordia University(TX).
Noah Thomasson 6’3 PG / George Ranch / 2019 PHTX200
A nice size point who controls the game. Shifty guard that gets his teammates involved in the game. Makes the right plays at the right times. Can play above the rim. Has the capability to score at all levels. Played scrappy defensively in the game. Finished with 10 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds. Shot 3/5-2FG, 0/2-3FG, and 4/6-FT. He currently holds 1-D1 offer and 3-D2 offers.
Stephen Woods 6’0 PG / George Ranch / 2021
Made some big-time shots on the big time stage. Played good on-ball defense also. Showcased his ability to run the offense. He was vocal on the floor also. This young prospect has a bright future ahead of him. Finished with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assist. Shot 1/2-2FG, 2/5-3FG, and 2/2-FT.
Devin Davis 6’5 PF / George Ranch / 2019
Was a beast on the defensive side of the ball. Good lateral movement to keep his defender in front of him. Played solid in the post also against a much bigger opponent. Had a couple of deflected passes and altered a lot of shots. Pinned two blocks against the glass. Finished with 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Shot 0/1-2FG, 1/4-3FG, and 5/6-FT.
DJ Stewart 5’10 PG / Fort Bend Bush / 2020
Pesky defender with great lateral movement. Tipped a ton of balls out of bounds. Jumped several passes as well. Always making the hustle plays. Shifty with the ball in his hands. Has a super high IQ. Made a lot of tight passes. If he were a QB I would say he was threading the needle. Scored at the rim as well. Finished with 10 points, 5 assist, and 2 steals. Shot 4/7-2FG, 0/5-3FG, and 2/2-FT. He is a prospect to keep an eye on at the Low D1/D2 level.
Stephen Faramade 6’8 C / Fort Bend Bush / 2020 PHTX100
Has good hands. Gains and hold position in the paint. He has a long wingspan. He can get off the floor as well. Finished the game with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 1 block. Shot 4/14-2FG and 2/2-FT. He has a lot of upside to his game and will be another prospect for coaches to keep an eye on.
Danny McAdory 6’4 SF / Fort Bend Bush / 2020 PHTX100
He is an uber bouncy prospect. Has a long wingspan. Runs the floor well in transition. Uses his athleticism to rebound the ball. Finished with 5 points and 12 rebounds. Shot 1/4-2FG, 0/2-3FG, and 3/4-FT. He is a prospect that coaches need to watch for.
