AAU teams walk into the gym together, but hours of scouring, evaluating, recruiting, calling, texting, paying? young talents takes place in advance. Take a look at some of the best players in Tennessee and their AAU choices entering late February. Current PrepHoopsTN Player Ranking is listed to the left of each player’s name.
Scan the first edition from mid-February for most of the top 2020 players.
Class of 2020
#1 Keon Johnson will play for the same program and actually the same team…EAB 17u.
#2 Samson Ruzhentsev is playing with MoKan, a distant, but technically connected program since Missouri is their home state. Kinda.
#3 Matthew Murrell ?
#4 Bayron Matos will play with the Atlanta Celtics.
#5 Drew Williams is now with EAB.
#6 Akeem Odusipe played last season with BMaze. Will he be back. We don’t know yet. He might.
#7 Jordan Rawls will run with MoKan with high school teammate Samson.
#8 Marvin Hughes might be back with Team Thad 17u, though his response to the question was non-committal Saturday 2/23.
#9 Keshawn Lawrence will join EAB.
#10 Marcus Fitzgerald Jr. selected EAB 17u. He was with Bradley Beal Elite 16u last year.
#11 Andersson Garcia will also play with the Atlanta Celtics. This is his first AAU season, as he arrived from the Dominican Republic around mid-June last summer.
#15 Emory Lanier is running with BMaze 17u.
#20 JaCobi Wood (Cleveland) will be point guard for WHBH 17u.
#26 Dusty Williams (Centennial) will play for Tennessee Tigers 17u.
#35 Ray Tyler (Oakland) is new to WHBH, but an important piece.
#59 Ryan Wilcox (Hillsboro) is back with WHBH.
#61 J’Quan Ewing (Northwest) will return with WHBH.
Jamaal Walker (East Hamilton) flipped to WHBH this season.
#68 Daniel Saylor (Sycamore) is joining WHBH.
#78 Will Pruitt (Mt. Juliet) intends to dress with Tennessee Tigers 17u.

#107 Darius Bell (Portland) will suit up for Tennessee Tigers .
#121 Gage Wells (Mt. Juliet) is new to the Tennessee Tigers .
#122 Kavon Blankenship (Station Camp) is back with Tennessee Tigers Head Coach Chip Smith.
#136 Terrance Cross (Blackman) will play with Pro One Select.
#165 Wesley Maples (Sevier County) is back with Sevier Select 17u.
Caden Cupp (Gibbs) returns to Team Passion.
Mikey Robinson (Gibbs) will once again play with Team Passion Elite.
Nathan Foutch (Nolensville) will run with Nike Elite Stars.

Mark Tankersley (Hamilton Heights) is a new member of EAB 16u.
Grant Hurst (Cleveland) decided to play with Tennessee Tigers 17u.
Jelani Willis (Bolivar Central) is playing with Tennessee Panthers 17u.
Tony Farrar (Hamilton Heights) will play with WHBH 16u.
Zion Swader (Siegel) is back with EAB 16u.
Matthew Sells (Livingston Academy) is back with EAB 16u.
Isaiah Jones (East Nashville) will play with Team Thad 16u.
