Esko wing Trevor Spindler. Trevor Spindler is first team all conference and he broke the school record for most free throws made in a season. Spindler averaged 19 a game making 84 percent of his foul shots, 54.5 percent of his field goal attempts, and 41.2 percent of his threes. Excellent season.
Lake City guard Nathan Heise. Nate Heise is the 2018-19 HVL Conference Player of the Year and started as a 9th grader on the Lake City 2017 State Tournament Team. This season Nathan averaged 22.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and over two steals a contest shooting 85 percent at the foul line, 59 percent from the field, and 36 percent at the arc.
Melrose senior Preston Keaveny. Preston Keaveny scored his 1,000 point earlier this season and he did that in two seasons of varsity basketball. Preston was named WCC player of the year. Preston scored 20 points a game making 50 percent of his field goals and 35 percent of his treys.
Minneapolis senior guard Eli Campbell. Eli is the Minneapolis City Conference Player of the Year leading North to state scoring 17.4 points per game shooting 37.3 percent at the arc and 37.8 percent overall. Had exactly 100 steals in 30 games, about 4 assists and boards a game too.
Minnehaha Academy junior guard Jalen Suggs. Jalen scored hi 23.4 points per game this season on 52 percent shooting at the arc, 79 percent shooting at the foul line, and 34 percent shooting at the three-point line. Also averaged 6.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.8 steals a game. Suggs went over 2,000 career points this year.
Perham senior forward Josh Jeziorski. Josh put up 18 points and seven boards a game on a balanced team that has lost just one game. Josh Jeziorski is 2nd in all-time scoring at Perham and passed 1,000 points earlier this year. He currently is at 1,154 career points. Shot 54.8 percent this year. A career 47.2 percent three point shooter.
Redwood Valley senior guard Cole Woodford. The Cardinals are balanced, deep team of athletes that went to state in football and now in hoops. Woodford leads the team scoring 20.9 points per game shooting 43.2 percent from the floor (38.5 percent at the arc, 71 percent at the foul line). Also grabs six boards a game while dishing out three assists.
St. Peter junior big Wyatt Olson. Wyatt Olson broke St Peter’s all time rebounding record in February plus went over 1,000 points this season. Averaged 17.5 points and 12.4 rebounds a game with over three assists a game. Olson is shooting 57 percent from the floor this year plus he leads his team in steals.
