Keep in mind this is just the first Grassroots event of the spring and no rosters. I’m hoping over the next few months to see as many teams as possible in the Palmetto State on the Grassroots Circuit.
Devon Bristow (2020) – McBee HS – Carolina Wolves North Carolina 17U (pictured on front)
Bristow 6’8 showed some good flashes early on for the Carolina Wolves North Carolina 17U in a loss to Florida Dream. Bristow was able to score around the basket and played really aggressive. Bristow plays at a small Class A school in the Pee Dee and to my knowledge didn’t play on the Grassroots Circuit last season. Bristow averaged a double-double this season for the Panthers and seems to keep progressing on a daily basis.
Quentin Hodge (2020) – Lakewood HS – Georgia Stars 17U
Hodge made the move over from playing with Team South Carolina last year. Hodge 6’5 will play on the EYBL Circuit with the Nike sponsored team. Hodge is a ultra athletic player and really excels in the transition game.
Korey Richardson
Korey Richardson (2021) – Lower Richland HS – Georgia Stars 16U
Richardson helped his new squad win the Gold Bracket 16U Championship today at the Icebreaker Invitational. Richardson a left-handed guard ran the offense while we were in attendance for his game. Richardson saw the floor well and got to the cup on several occasions.
Colin Rodrigues
Colin Rodrigues (2021) – North Augusta HS – Team Power (GA) 16
Rodrigues 6’1 guard plays with a lot of confidence and swag while on the floor. Rodrigues came up with some big shots in the 2 games Prep Hoops was able to see him play in the Icebreaker Invitational. Rodrigues won’t back down from anyone mentality and connected on some shots from downtown this weekend.
