Hustle Region Preview: Gamepoint Inland Empire
We may be in the middle of high school basketball season but it’s not too early to look ahead to what’s coming up on the AAU circuit. Over the next few months we will be taking a look at the teams that will be participating in the PrepHoops Circuit Hustle Region and here’s a look at Gamepoint Inland Empire.
Gamepoint Inland Empire will have teams in the 17U, 16U, and 15U divisions of the Hustle Region. They will be participating in the #HustleSzn Kickoff, Spring Kick Off, Bash in the Desert, Hustle in the Sun, and Hustle Region Finals.
Here’s a transcript of a conversation we had with program director James Profit.
Why did you start your program? How long have you been around?
Gamepoint Basketball has been around now for 13 years. We started the Gamepoint Inland Empire branch a year ago off the growth of our base program in Oceanside, Ca which plays on the Adidas Circuit.
What is the goal of your program for 2019?
My goal for us, in this my second year, is to just put my guys in the best position possible to be seen and evaluated.
What is your program’s mission each year?
My mission every year is for a couple guys with absolutely no college interest to start receiving some.
Do you know of any players that will be back in your program this year? Who should we have our eye on?
Some of my top guys Include 2020’s 6’4 pg Garrett Schaefer, 6’8 f Demorian Lowe and 6’4 G Justin Kirkpatrick. 2021’s Include 6’3 G Jeremiah Minegar and 6’4 WF Isaiah Knox. Finally, 2022 6’3 WF Malachi Murrell and 6’5 WF Jeremy Sengstock.
Why did you choose the Prep Hoops Circuit?
We are very excited to be apart of the Prephoops Circuit. I chose the PHC for this reason, I believe I have gotten some young men that can play and it will soon be there time to show that.
