Athens Region
Harvest Prep (24-2): After falling a bit short last year, Harvest Prep may have what it takes to win it all this year. With decent depth, and star power in CJ Anthony, HP is loaded. Coming off a nice win over Columbus Academy, in the district finals, the Warriors are playing great. A well coached team, that gets after it for 32 minutes each game. A big key will be if Soul Hines can stay hot from three, as he did against Academy. He could be the difference maker, and help Harvest Prep to a state championship. Heading to play at Ohio University, the Warriors will the on Adena (20-6). A matchup to watch Thursday, as Harvest Prep, with a win, would advance to the championship game.
Bowling Green Region
Grandview Heights (21-7): Playing their best ball at the right time, has been big for Grandview. Coming off a convincing, comeback win over Johnstown, Grandview is rolling. With an inside force in Luke Lachey, the Bobcats can win in multiple ways. When Manny Day is playing his game, he takes Grandview to another level that is tough to beat. Not to mention, Brian Collier, who has solid guard skills and a lights out shooter. Coming back against Johnstown, the Bobcats showed some grit that great tourney teams have. Grandview Heights will have to take on Cardinal Stritch (22-3). Cardinal Stricth is one of the better D3 teams, and should definitely be a good one to watch. The Stroh Center at Bowling Green will never hosting the regionals for this area!
