Freidel put the Titans on his back in the first having scoring 20 first-half points to finish with 23 in the game. At one time he had 15 of the Titans 17 points in the first half. He struggled in the second half but played a huge role on the boards and defensively for the Titans.
Justin Hohn (Tea Area)
The senior was in foul trouble the whole first half and didn’t play after he picked up his second in the middle/late first quarter until the start of the second half. He may have only had 3 points and 4 assists but he was able to get the ball where Tea Area needed it to go. He gave them a much-needed spark in the second half.
Charles Schrader (Pine Ridge) 14 points (6-of-14 FG) 7 rebounds
The guard along with the rest of the Thorpes came out firing on all cylinders. He came in confident and was a huge part in Pine Ridge almost coming away with the huge upset of No. 1 Tea Area. He played a well-balanced game on both sides of the ball.
Mitchell Goodbary (SF Christian) 10 points (3-of-5 FG) 8 rebounds
The big guy down low had a slow start to the game but got rolling in the second half especially the fourth quarter. He made some clutch plays on the defensive side picking up six steals on the night. He banked in a clutch 3-pointer late in the game to help secure the win for the Chargers. The senior was once again a force down low on both sides of the ball.
Xavier Van Beek (SF Christian) 16 points (5-of-11 FG), 5 assists, 4-of-8 from deep
The sophomore couldn’t have picked up a better game to get hot than on Friday against Lennox. Van Beek went 4-of-8 from deep and dished out five assists as well. As one of the youngest players on the court most games, Van Beek certainly doesn’t play like a sophomore, he has great poise and smarts when handling the basketball.
Brock Anderson (Lennox) 17 points (7-of-10 FG), 15 rebounds
The senior was a huge factor in Lennox almost coming away with the upset of SF Christian. Anderson went a near perfect 7-of-10 from the field for 17 points and hauled in a game and a tournament-high 15 rebounds for the Orioles. He helped get things going offensively for Lennox when they struggled in the first half only shooting 8-of-22.
