The Bruins ultimately defeated the Stallions by a final score of XX-XX. Below is a look at five intriguing prospects from this hard-fought playoff contest.
CODY KELLEM | 6’1 G | SOUTH COUNTY ’20
Kellem stood out in this game because he showcased an impressive feel for the game, especially on the offensive end. He made simple and unselfish plays that helped his teammates get going. Kellem also played with great effort defensively, but at times got caught gambling.
TRENTON PICOTT | 6’5 C/PF | SOUTH COUNTY ’21
Picott used his length and excellent leaping ability to block numerous shots throughout this game and alter a handful of others. He ran the floor with purpose, showcased soft hands, and seeked contact around the basket. Picott still needs to get stronger so that he can deal with contact in the paint area.
ANDRE SPEIGHT | 6’3 G | SOUTH COUNTY ’21
Speight is a left-handed guard who can play on or off the ball. He’s a good ball-handler but his decision making needs improvement. Speight is adept at using ball fakes. He’s a crafty paint getter who has good footwork and can finish with nice touch from a variety of angles. Speight looks like he is an inconsistent shooter, but his shot mechanics and arc both look good.
DAVID SOLOMON | 6’5 F/C | LAKE BRADDOCK ’22
Solomon was the best athlete on the floor in this game. At his size, he moves well enough laterally to defend well on the perimeter. Solomon also has a great motor and body control. He rebounds well out of his area. Solomon is still very raw offensively. Despite the fact that he has excellent hands, his footwork needs improvement, and he definitely needs to get stronger.
WILLIAM WILSON | 6’2 SF | SOUTH COUNTY ’20
Wilson has a a robust build and is a physical, energetic presence on the wing. He is a very good slasher who exhibits impressive body control and strength when finishing through contact. Wilson showed the competence to handle the ball in transition, but he still needs to improve in that regard as well as with his shot.
