JADEN BAKER | 6’1 G | WICOMICO ’20
Jaden Baker did not shoot the ball particularly well on Friday, but did a lot of other things that contributed to his team’s win. The 6-foot-1 guard took a charge, which won’t show up on the stat sheet, but also put up some impressive all-around numbers. Baker finished the game with 10 rebounds (9 defensive), 8 assists (3 turnovers), 2 steals and a block to go along with 7 points. His craftiness and overall feel for the game were impressive.
ZAC BLACKWELL | 5’10 G | PATTERSON ’20
Zac Blackwell showcased elite defensive traits in Patterson’s win over Thomas Stone. The junior guard, who finished with 14 points and 6 steals, pressured the ball with tremendous success due to his quick and active hands. Most of Blackwell’s steals resulted in quick points in transition for the Clippers.
TOMMY KELLY | 5’9 G | OAKDALE ’20
Despite his shot not falling throughout the game, Tommy Kelly found other ways to contribute. Defensively, he was active and alert in the passing lanes, showing good instincts and feel. Kelly also did a good job on the boards, handled and distributed the ball efficiently to his teammates.
DORIAN STEVENS | 5’10 G | WICOMICO ’19
Dorian Stevens was responsible for perhaps the most impressive individual performance in the final four. The unsigned senior pumped in a game-high 26 points in his team’s win, hitting 6 of 10 from downtown. Stevens was tricky with the ball in his hands, utilizing ball fakes to keep the defense off balance.
JACORY WILKES | 6’5 C | THOMAS STONE ’22
Jacory Wilkes did not have a great overall performance against Patterson, but the 6-foot-5 freshman is armed with length and is still gaining command of his body. With that being said, Wilkes was efficient with the ball and did a nice job altering shots in the lane. It will be worth monitoring how he improves physically and athletically over the next few months.
