I first saw him play in September at the Prep Hoops Top 250. That day he left me with “D1 potential” on my mind. Titus has only made that belief even more firm for me over the course of this season. The star point guard has helped his team reach the Division 4 Final 4. I recently caught up with Brady Titus to talk about the Final 4 and more.
Question:
Congratulations on reaching the Final 4. How does it feel?
Brady Titus:
It honestly feels great, it’s amazing, and It’s always been one of my dreams to play on a big stage like this and show people what I’m capable of doing.
Question:
What has been key to your teams deep playoff run?
Brady Titus:
Our defense. No doubt. Also our commitment, hard work, and knowing what we need to do to get where we have to be.
Question:
What is it like to be a part of a season like this in your freshmen season?
Brady Titus:
It’s exciting, emotional, stressful, but also an amazing blessing. It’s the start of living and fulfilling my dreams.
Question:
What have you done well so far in the playoffs?
Brady Titus:
I’ve played my game and done a great job facilitating my teams offense and bringing intensity. Basically what a point guard does.
Question:
What is the biggest strength in your game?
Brady Titus:
Definitely creating. But not only do I create for myself but for my teammates and basically keeping everyone in a flow.
Question:
What professional player would you compare yourself to?
Brady Titus:
Honestly I don’t know, I have players I want to be like, but I’m just just a “young bull”. I’m still trying to grow up and learn more about the game.
Question:
What id your best basketball memory so far?
Brady Titus:
I would say, it was earlier in the season when Coach Keeler told me I would have to do some growing up by the time the tournament came around . It was great for me to hear because not only did I listen to what he said but I took it to heart. I mean look where I’m at now, I’ve gotten stronger, smarter and learned how to control the game.
Question:
If you could have 1 of your teachers at your Final 4 game, who would it be and why?
Brady Titus:
I would say Coach Terrence Craft, my UTS Elite coach. He has been through the wars with me ever since I met him. Him and I have gone through ups and downs in games, but that taught me to fight through the battle and the pain. He showed me how to overcome adversity. At the end of the day I have his back and he has mine.
