CHANGES IN THE TOP-10

Anwar Gill

The top-10 remains virtually intact, but there are two noteworthy amendments. Olivier Nkamhoua, a late bloomer who emerged as a force for Bishop Walsh this season, made a jump up to #6. Anwar Gill reclaims his spot in the top-10 after helping propel Gonzaga to a WCAC Championship.

FIVE STOCK BOOSTERS

Cam Spencer

#18 | CAM SPENCER | 6’3 SG/PG | BOYS’ LATIN | PREVIOUS RANK: 31

Spencer averaged 25 points, 7 rebounds, and nearly 5 assists per game in conference play for a Boys’ Latin team that won 30 games this year. He should make an immediate impact at Loyola (MD) next season.

#24 | HERU BLIGEN | 6’2 PG | ST. ANDREW’S | PREVIOUS RANK: 40

Bligen is a three-time All-MAC selection who averaged 15.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game for St. Andrew’s this season. The coaching staff at Longwood is receiving a fierce competitor who wins games and produces.

#32 | ISAIAH GROSS | 6’3 SF/PF | ELEANOR ROOSEVELT | PREVIOUS RANK: 47

Gross was named “Mr. Basketball” by the Maryland Coaches Association and was regarded as a leader for the 4A state champions. Coppin State is getting a flat out steal who should help change the culture immediately.

#37 | AMANI WALKER | 6’8 PF/C | POLY | PREVIOUS RANK: 54

Walker is a three-time state champ who played a valuable role with his defensive versatility and overall effort this season. The experience he has gained over the past few seasons should adequately prepare him for the next level.

#41 | ARMON HARRIED | 6’4 SF | LAKE CLIFTON | PREVIOUS RANK: NR

Harried burst onto the scene during Lake Clifton’s state championship run by averaging 31 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game while shooting 47.7% from the field at Xfinity. The unsigned senior is a two-time state champ who has proven that he has the ability to take over games at the high school level.

DIVISION ONE SLEEPERS

Christian Flaherty

#27 | CHRISTIAN FLAHERTY | 6’2 SG/PG | WEST NOTTINGHAM

Flaherty is an aggressive scorer who is fully recovered from a knee injury that sidelined him for an extended period of time. He is coming off a productive campaign and has proven that he can score with the very best in the state.

#30 | DEJEAN DESIRE | 6’6 SF/PF | GEORGETOWN PREP

Desire is one of the best defensive prospects in the state and an IAC Champion. His ability to guard multiple positions should help him establish a niche in his early days at the next level.

#35 | PRZEMEK GOLEK | 6’4 SF | ST. MARIA GORETTI

Most division one programs don’t know much about Golek because he went to Poland where he played last summer, but he is a smart complimentary offensive player who can knock down shots and play tough defense.

#43 | EBBY ASAMOAH JR. | 6’3 SF | MAGRUDER

Asamoah is a long-limbed wing with a smooth stroke from the perimeter. Some of his selling points that go along with his shooting are athleticism, a high motor, and the ability to rebound out of his area.

#45 | ANTHONY TORELLI | 6’4 SG/PG | BISHOP WALSH

A big guard who can defend both spots in the backcourt, Torelli is a strong competitor who can really shoot it, create shots and handle pressure when asked. One of his main strengths is on the defensive end, where he is a constant communicator who prides himself on being a lockdown guy.
