MVP
Noah Wiswary (2019, PG, Hudsonville Unity Christian)
Wiswary was the conductor of the orchestra in games on both Friday and Saturday. He put his head down, put the ball on floor, and attacked the rim. Wiswary finished at a high percentage and also got to the line frequently. He had 17 points in the semifinals against Ludington. Wiswary matched that output in the title game, finishing with 17 points. Howardsville Unity Christian made a critical run in the 3rd that was keyed by Wiswary’s 14 point quarter. Wiswary has put his name on the map among senior prospects.
Honorable Mention
TJ VanKoevering (2019, PF, Hudsonville Unity Christian)
VanKoevering’s numbers weren’t staggering, but his influence on the Final 4 games certainly was. He had 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals against Ludington in the semifinals. He was a prescense in the paint that Ludington couldn’t match. In the championship win VanKoevering had 13 points and 5 rebounds. He again played a key role in locking down the post, this time against River Rouge.
Nigel Colvin (2019, G, River Rouge)
Colvin willed his River Rouge squad to an OT win over Harper Woods Chandler Park. He scored a game high 20 points and hit a corner 3 to send the game to the extra period. Colvin was a warrior, especially in the 1st half, of the championship game as well.
