Playing 16u but still being 14 tells you a lot about his game. A lanky lefty Amarion has very good pace to the game. Does not let any speed him and can run the point guard position for his team. While at the point position he looks to get his guys into offense and make plays for others. While on the wing he gets in the paint and slows down to his own speed using floaters to finish over defenders and footwork to navigate through the paint. While a good offensive threat he is also a hard nose defender. Using his length and his intensity he keeps people in front and made it hard to think. An interesting prospect moving forward.
Justin Mathews 6’2 2021 (CC Elite)-Justin had a very impressive weekend. While being a great defender, standing at 6’2 Justin did it all. When his team needed a rebound he got one, when his team needed a 3 he hit one. Justin made his mark every game he played. Diving on the floor for lose balls and making plays for others. He also has a very good handle keeping it tight and also using a variety of different moves to not only get himself open but his teammates.
Logan Hawes 6’5 C 2020(Team Reign)- Logan showed a lot of toughness this past weekend. Running the floor well. When caught at the low post he found cutters and made smart passes and used his IQ to get his defenders up in the air. Off rebounds he push the break and made plays for others. Had the due it all mentality all weekend.
EJ Heminez 6’4 2021(Hotshots Elite 16u Premier)-EJ showed great flashes this weekend and the aility to do a little bit of everything. With a big body and a strong dribble EJ push the ball up the floor and made some pin point passes. EJ constantly crashed for rebounds and made efforts of diving on the floor and taking charges for his team. EJ has a very good feel for when his teammates are open. When in full attack mode he can give you the long ball and in between game. Another good prospect to watch.
Davell Brown 6’4 2020 (Hotshots Elite 17u Premier)-Davell was high post nightmare. With a great look jumper he caught and used his elite jab series and foot work to get his shot off. Davell also has a strong stocky build. A good sized 4 man Davell can shoot the long ball He is a mismatch waiting to happen and can also guard bigger guys. With good ability to dribble he can use quick moves to push on the break and blow by bigger defenders. Will start to blossom this spring and summer.
