Here’s a quick look at the top 12 ranked seniors who will be playing in Portland, Corvallis, and Forest Grove.
#5 Isaac Lange (2019 Thurston)
The super-athletic guard is hoping to lead Thurston to a repeat title. Lange has an offer from Lane CC and is continuing to hear from a number of Division II and JC programs both locally and nationally.
#6 Keylin Vance (2019 Jefferson)
The creative scoring guard has been providing offensive punch for the Demos all season long. Vance is looking to go the junior college route and is getting looked at by some national JC programs as well as schools from the NWAC.
#7 Josh Angle (2019 Lake Oswego)
The all-around guard has been the leader all year for Lake Oswego. While his trademark outside shooting hasn’t been as sharp, Angle has been contributing in other ways. He’s a high-academic student who has some big Division III possibilities, but is also looking at the prep school route to capture the attention of the Ivy League.
#8 Stevie Schlabach (2019 Tigard)
The scorer at all three levels has helped lead Tigard to their first state tournament appearance since 2002. Schlabach holds an offer from Northwest Christian and continues to hear from NAIA programs as well as Portland State.
#9 Ty Rankin (2019 Grant)
The multi-talented combo guard has been getting it done in many different statistical categories. Rankin has recently been talking to some national JC programs but also continues to hear from Division II, Division III, and NAIA programs.
#10 RJ Veliz (2019 Woodburn)
One of the state’s all-time leading scorers has helped propel Woodburn to one of their all-time greatest seasons in the school history. Veliz holds an offer from Northwest Christian and continues to hear from other programs at all levels.
#16 Mason Miller (2019 Thurston)
Along with Lange, Miller has helped Thurston feature one of the best inside-outside duos in the state at any level. A high-academic student, Miller had a number of Division III schools interested at the beginning of the year.
#21 Trevon Richmond (2019 Jefferson)
Richmond has provided energy for Jefferson whether he has been in the starting lineup or coming off the bench. The combo guard has received Division III/NAIA/JC interest over the course of the season.
#23 Kaleb Anundi (2019 Stayton)
Anundi may be the top big man at the 4A level and has put up some huge scoring games this year. He continues to receive interest from a number of D-II/NAIA/JC schools.
#24 Jonathon Nchekwube (2019 Jefferson)
Nchekwube has given Jefferson a nice athletic option off the bench in the frontcourt. He recently received an offer from D-II Colorado Mesa and has heard from a number of other D-II programs throughout the course of the season.
#25 Justin Bieker (2019 Jesuit)
Bieker earned co-Metro League Player of the Year and he’s hit a number of big shots for the Crusaders this season. He’s earned the attention of numerous D-II/D-III programs and is considering walking on at a WCC school.
#30 Jonah Downey (2019 Silverton)
Downey has done well transferring up to the 5A level at Silverton. He’s received interest from a number of NAIA/JC programs.
