Here are some players that could help tip things in their respective teams’ favor:
Caden Grinde, Spring Grove
Grinde gives Spring Grove a dose of size and athleticism on the wing – which is something it’ll need if it wants to compete with Springfield. He’ll likely spend a lot of time defending either Isaac Fink or Decker Scheffler and if those two guys do what they’ve done all year, the Tigers will win. Someone for Spring Grove has to disrupt that order and Grinde will likely be first in line to try.
Isaac Collins, CHOF
Collins is CHOF’s fourth leading scorer at 11.4 points per game. He’s one of their best shooters as well, as he knocks down nearly 40 percent of his 3-pointers on about five attempts per game. He’s an excellent complementary scorer and if the Lions are going to make a run, his long-range shooting will be important.
Isaac Shelton, Cromwell-Wright
Shelton doesn’t light up the box score but he’s one of the Cardinals’ best defenders. Ada-Borup has great balance throughout its lineup, so it isn’t about stopping or keying on one player. The Cougars have four or five perimeter guys capable of having a big game, so Shelton is going to be a key cog in the Cardinals’ effort to shut that down.
Adam Lange, Henning
Lange is the inside presence for the Hornets and while his numbers don’t jump off the page, he’s the leading rebounder on both ends of the floor and his ability to create extra possessions on the offensive glass plus help free up that seemingly endless line of sweet-shooting guards is a big part of Henning’s success.
Chase Kleppe, North Woods
Kleppe’s been a big part of the Panthers’ success the last few years even if his stats don’t catch a ton of eyes. He’s a strong, athletic kid who can rebound, slash, and impact the game without having the ball in his hands. He’s arguably the team’s best defender as well.
