Quarterfinals:
Millwood 61, Washington 48
Millwood bested Washington on Thursday afternoon to advance to the second round. The Falcons were led in scoring by Isaiah Williams with 21 points, while teammate Myles Jeffries had 15 points in the win. Washington was led in scoring by Manuel Trejo with 15 points and Alex Foster with 13 points. Millwood will play the winner of Metro Christian and Hugo tomorrow at 6:30 p.m.
Kingston 58, Christian Heritage 48
First-ranked Kingston held on to beat CHA by 10 points in the first round, thanks to Conner Brister, Jacob Germany, and Jacob Whipkey’s 16, 13, and 10 points, respectively. CHA’s Zach Hale led all scorers with 20 points as the Crusaders found themselves with a 2-point lead in the early third quarter. The Redskins prevailed in that quarter, however, holding the Crusaders to 17 total second half points. Kingston is set to play the winner of Sequoyah-Tahlequah and Spiro tomorrow at 8 p.m.
Metro Christian 48, Hugo 39
Metro Christian defeated Hugo behind scoring from Trevor Burns, Jacob and Zach Mershon who finished the night with 14, 13, and 12 points, respectively. Hugo, after leading in the first quarter by five points, was bested despite Houston Greggs’ game-leading 24 points on the night. Metro Christian will play Millwood at 6:30 p.m. at Southern Nazarene University on Friday.
Spiro 59, Sequoyah-Tahlequah 56
Spiro’s Tylor Perry finished off a 27-point performance by hitting the go-ahead 3-point field goal as time expired on Thursday night. Sequoyah-Tahlequah’s Shade Watie scored 21 points in the Indians’ loss. Spiro advances to play Kingston in the semifinal game on Friday night at Southern Nazarene University at 8 p.m.
Semifinals:
Millwood 53, Metro Christian 43
Millwood hung on to defeat Metro Christian after being tied with the Patriots with a few minutes to go in the third quarter. Millwood is set to play Kingston for the championship at 9:15 on Saturday night at the Jim Norick Arena.
Kingston 55, Spiro 45
Kingston led by as many as 17 points in the Redskins’ win over Spiro. Tylor Perry scored 28 points in the loss, including a 12-point quarter in the fourth in an attempt to overcome Spiro’s deficit. Kingston advances to play Millwood in the championship game on Saturday at 9:15 p.m. at the Jim Norick Arena.
