Throughout this season we have had quite a few players in the class that raised their stock quite a bit, let’s take a look at some of those players.
71st HS Wing Tre Bell: After being a seldom used player during his first few years of high school, he stepped in at 71st this season and had an outstanding year. The ability to score the ball at a high rate as well as good athletic ability are two of the reason why college coaches have shown interest and he has picked up some offers.
Overhills HS Wing Lexuus Fasce: He is new to the area so he very well could have had some buzz to his name in his previous location but to us he’s new and we have seen some things begin to fall into place for him. He played somewhat out of position as he is natural more of a wing or guard but due to lack of size he played some PF, he’s caught the attention of quite a few college coaches and will be playing as an unsigned senior with Juice All-Stars this summer which should only help to get his some offers.
Farmville Central Forward Dyquavis Wilkins: The new location and teaming up with Guards Terquavion Smith & Justin Wright worked out perfectly for him. They hit the ground running as an overall team and his play only got better as the season went on, he can knock down shots well from midrange but also make plays above the rim in the paint on both ends.
North Davidson Guard Themus Fulks: He hasn’t necessarily seen his recruitment take the boost that he would like to with a high amount of scholarship offers but the interest is there without a doubt. He has put up monster numbers all season long and was the leading scorer in the state, averaging 35 PPG all while shooting over 50% from the field.
Smithfield-Selma Guard Anthony Council: Initially he had committed to Fayetteville State but due to the departure of the head coach, his recruitment is kind of in between right now. He put up some big time numbers this year which had fans, coaches and media talking about him quite a bit, one game in particular was a 51 point showing against West Johnston HS.
Wilson Prep Guard Tyronne Whitaker: There were some people that knew who he was prior to the season but he has raised his stock in a nice way with the way he has played. He is a player that will have to go the JC route and from what we are hearing he may be close to a making college choice but he definitely is a player that saw the amount of schools calling about him rise rather quickly.
