This is a great opportunity for teams and player to see where they are at and how much work may need to be done before the live periods start up next month. Let’s take a glance at some of the teams and players that will be in the building this weekend that college coaches should keep an eye on.
910 Vengeance: They feature a nice amount of 2020 talent as well as having a few 2021 players mixed in the group, one of those 2021 players is Guard Daymon Beckwith. Beckwith has proven himself over the last few months as he has put up some very impressive numbers against good competition on a consistent basis. 2020 Guard Malachi Borders & Forward Quincy Martin Jr are both players that college coaches should be keeping an eye on and we feel that both will see their recruitment rise this summer.
WCBA Unsigned Seniors feature quite a few players that have offers already so this will be a good time for the D2/D3 programs to evaluate these players further. Guard Phillip Burwell who played his high school ball at Millbrook HS is one that has flown under the radar for a while but has picked up some interest as of late. Forward Dusan Dordevic is also a player who has some interest and is looking to raise his stock over the summer, he’s a legit 6’8 with a nice skillset and upside.
Royal Knights: If you watched the NCHSAA 1A playoffs, you saw a good amount of their players and the talent/potential they have to be special. One of those players is 2020 Guard Kalib Matthews he is beginning to see his interest from college grow and rightfully so, he has good size for a guard and a high IQ for the game. 2021 Guard Javonte Waverly is another player that played well during the state playoffs and has shown that he has a chance to be special.
Flight 22 17U Elite is another program that has quite a few unsigned seniors mixed in as well but the talent on the roster is clear without a doubt. 2020 Wing Jadyn Parker and 2020 Guard Phil Martin Jr are both players that have shown flashes of how good they can possibly be.
