Game Takeaways;
South Is A Problem In Transition: Columbus South displayed solid north/south speed, that Lima Shawnee wasn’t able to handle. With a handful of guards that can handle it, South had something Lima Shawnee didn’t. Tre Watkins, Ta’Quan Simington and Trevell Adams were off to the races often, finishing in transition. The Bulldogs fill their lanes correctly and work the transition offense to a tee.
Trevell Adams Is A Problem Off The Bench: With 15 points and 11 rebounds today, Trevell Adams was the definite player of the game. Adams gets to the rim with ease, finishing in traffic. At the guard position the 5-foot-9 Adams is a superb rebounder, flying above opposing players. The junior has a goof poise to the game.
George Mangas Is A Sophomore To Watch: The sophomore was nothing short of impressive against Columbus South. With a good feel in the paint the 6-foot-2 Mangas can finish with the bigger defenders, including a nice up and under move. The Shawnee Indian has a tough competitive spirit for a younger player.
