Josh Lynch 2019 Kinta shooting guard
Josh Lynch was one of the most impressive players for his ability to score at each level. But he was especially strong when he got the ball with room to work. Lynch was one of the taller players in the Class B Tournament, making him really potent once he found his way to the rim. He can finish straight up, but his most memorable finish of the tournament was probably the cherry on top to cap off Kinta’s State Championship when he finished a reverse at the buzzer.
Parker York 2020 Braggs point guard
Parker York was the premier, go-to scoring option for Braggs. York has great ball-handling skills and can penetrate and score out of the dribble. York stands at 5-foot-11, but height isn’t an issue for the junior. He is crafty enough to find a way. His lateral quickness is elite.
Korey Aytes 2020 Lookeba-Sickles guard
Korey Aytes is a relentless, heady player who got hot in transition in the quarterfinals against Big Pasture. Aytes was one of the fastest players on the floor and turned defense into offense by taking lofty passes and stripping ball-handlers. After that, he drove down and finished buckets at the rim or drew fouls to generate scoring for Lookeba. He repeated this cycle verbatim on several occasions.
Braden Ray 2019 Kinta point guard
Braden Ray was talented from the 3-point line, but was perhaps his best driving towards the rack. Ray is a guy with great footwork and lateral quickness, allowing him to blow by defenders with some ease and finish at the rim.
Alex Leon 2019 Lookeba-Sickles point guard
Alex Leon was an impressive sight, leading Lookeba-Sickles to a semifinal appearance and giving No. 1 Kinta a run for its money. Leon was able to get his way to the rim and create his own shot. Standing closer to 5-foot-8 than 5-foot-10, Leon was at a disadvantage in stature, but he made up for it with his craft.
