Corey Thomas 2020 Paden Pirates
Corey Thomas was a notch above many of the other players on the floor at the B State Tournament. He could score the ball out of the dribble, shoot, and command the floor with great passing. His ability to blow by defenders and dish the ball made him an asset for the Pirates.
Braden Ray 2019 Kinta point guard
Braden Ray may have been the most important player for any team at the tournament. Behind his 18 points, four 3-pointer performance in the State Championship, Kinta was able to secure the Gold Ball after trailing by as many as 10 points in the third quarter.
Alex Leon 2019 Lookeba-Sickles point guard
Despite not having height on his side, 5-foot-8 guard Alex Leon is a scrappy, tenacious ball-handler who can dish the rock and can penetrate into the lane. Leon has quickness on his side and lateral speed, making him shifty and difficult to man-up with. Defensively, he’s a reliable piece in Lookeba’s zone.
Conner Boydston 2019 Big Pasture point guard
Conner Boydston is a talented front-man for the Big Pasture rangers and can score with the basketball, perhaps better than anything else. He can create his own shot from half-court, but can also catch and shoot out of the slash. Boydston can also move the ball around with the best of them and can find open scorers on the win.
