Standing at a lanky 6’3 he used his length and quickness to put pressure on the ball handler, usually resulting in a turnover or steal. With a very good jump shot, he came off picks and made some tough shots and even on fast breaks would pull up from 3 if un-guarded. His ability to shoot it and make pocket passes opened up for the rest of his teammates. On outlet passes he kept his head up and threw great passes to open players. On multiple occasions on fast breaks, he would sky rocket over defenders and throw it down. A shooter who gets hot in a hurry.
Caden Turner PG 6’2 2019 (Team Reign)– Caden is a strong guard who has great ball handling skill. This past weekend, Caden filled up the stat sheet and competed at a high level against some very good teams. Because of his good handle he was able to create space for his own shot and also make some great passes to his teammates. Very good off the catch and shoot and played in the paint.
Christian Mata F 6’4 2021 (CC Elite)- Christian was excellent out of the mid post. Used some great up fakes and foot work to get easy layups. He also had a great jumper from 17 feet and in. Used his body well and had a monster game against Hotshots Elite 16u premier team. Christian ran the floor well and has a smooth game that does not get rushed. He can also play the guard position and make plays for others. A solid 2021 Wing.
Chris Bunch G 6’6 2022 (Hotshots Elite 16u Premier) -Chris bunch is as special as they come. A great frame and a smooth stroke Chris averaged a little above 20 points this weekend while droping 27pts and 25pts in two of his games. With a great step back jumper Chris created as much space as he needed to get off his shot. Even if defenders recovered he extended to knock down his shots. Chris also had 3 Lebron James type blocks erasing points. Chris is one of the top freshman players on the west coast regardless of position. Will be the next young star to come out of Northern California
Jonathan Schooley 6’3 G 2021 (Upper Level Basketball ) – With improved skill and guard ability Jonathan showed a lot of new moves this weekend. Using his dribble to keep defenders away and using his athletic ability to grab rebounds and block shots. Jonathan has definitely made some progress with his skill since season has ended.
Quincy Taylor 6’2 2020 G (Hotshots Elite 17u Premier)– During the weekend there is no one who got into the paint more then Quincy. Using his broad shoulders and aggression Quincy stayed in attack mode and got in the paint and took contact while finishing his layups. He also had it going from down town, knocking down multiple 3’s and even coming off ball screens into shots. Quincy was also a very good on ball defender and made lots of passes go array. Quincy was also just nominated for All State.
