RJ Veliz 6’2 Guard Woodburn HS 2019
Veliz is an athletic 6’2 guard who transferred to Woodburn this off season & hasn’t missed a beat. A career 2000 point scorer who is also a high academic student that has drawn interest from several NAIA & D2 programs on the west coast. We see him as a guy that just finds a way to get the job done at a high level & finds a way to help his team win.
Kaleb Anundi 6’8 Post Stayton HS 2019
The highly skilled lefty has dominated the 4A ranks this season averaging over 20 points & 10 rebounds per game. Although he has the ability to score around the basket, he’s most effective facing up and attacking that way. Anundi is hearing from several schools in the NAIA Cascade Conference as well as several NWAC schools.
Riley Nichol 6’7 Post Stayton HS 2019
Athletic big man that plays with a high motor and runs the floor well. Nichol’s offensive game is improving rapidly & has shown the ability to knock down shots to the three point line. His basketball is ahead of him & he is receiving interest from junior college, D3, & NAIA programs from around the northwest.
Jacob Slifka 6’4 Wing Banks HS 2020
The smooth shooting Slifka, has shown a much improved all around game to along with his shooting ability. He has matured physically and now flashes the ability to score at the rim & grab a rebound in traffic. He will be playing this spring/summer with Team Fly & expect him to garner significant interest from NAIA & D3 programs around the west coast.
Andrew Reynolds 6’2 Guard Henley HS 2019
The senior transfer from Mazama has flashed a solid all around game at this year’s tourney. He’s a solid guard with a high basketball iq who does a little bit of everything. He’s receiving interest from D3 programs in the area & looks like someone who would be a solid contributor at that level.
Chase Januik 6’1 Guard Seaside HS 2019
The veteran combo guard was his steady self scoring 16 points & playing lock down defense in Seaside’s quarterfinal victory over North Marion. He displays the ability to play both guard spots at the next level and is physical enough to step in and play in a rotation right away. A number of D3 programs from the northwest have been in contact with Januik.
Sergio Jimenez 6’2 Wing North Marion 2020
Thursday was our first time seeing Jimenez and we were impressed with his game. He displayed the ability to score in a variety of ways, rebounds the ball well, and is a solid team defender. Not an overwhelming athlete, he makes up for that with a high motor & competitive spirit that were both evident. Would expect him to garner interest from a variety of small colleges in the northwest as he moves in to his senior year.
